Updates

So, holidays are here!
As you guys may have heard in my recent update video, I have big plans for next year. I finally plan on showing my face due to popular demand, and also a room tour.

I am playing Assassins Creed Revelations now that my exams have ended, finally. I'll probably be putting up my views on it in a separate blog post.

I am visiting Macau and Hong Kong this Christmas, and will be taking my DSLR along. I plan on doing a lot of photography there and compile the good pictures in a video. I hope you guys like the idea.

Also, my dad's Bose SoundDock is now mine, as he has bought another speaker system. I have been using it for a couple of months, and also plan on reviewing it, even though its a little old. ( I guess more than 2 years)

And finally, as YouTube has released its new channel design, which I like a lot, as it is simple and easy to navigate, I will be completely redesigning my channel, probably throwing a little bit of blue glow here and there.

Channel Update - 25th July '11

Hey guys ! This is a channel update. I just want you guys to know what I am doing these days. My exams are starting, 22nd August, and I seriously need to study. Due to this, I will not be posting any technology videos, until September.

However, I will be doing Minecraft videos, with my friend, Techteller96. I also plan on doing Minecraft videos solely, on my channel ! It will be just another series of survival Let's Play videos. And yes, I do take inspiration from the Yogscast.

Whats going on ?

All of you guys who follow me on YouTube might've realized that I hadn't posted a video on my channel since almost a month. I uploaded the ArticleConr Episode 4 yesterday and I'm sorry for the decline in the frequency of the videos.

There's only one main reason behind this, and that is that school has started ! I am now in 9th grade, and I gotta do a lot of work ! I am generally free only on Saturdays and Sundays and on weekday (also weekend)  evenings, I'm generally chilling with my friends from school.

So you guys can expect videos on Saturday afternoon, India time (+5:30 GMT).

Guide to YouTube Partnership [YouTube]

Everyone, not only me gets these questions all the time on YouTube. How do I become a partner ? I wrote a blog post on that which I think you should read. Click here.

That explained the basic method of applying and getting partnership. Now, I have seen people who have 500 subscribers and are partners, and people with more subscribers (>1000) which are not. Your chances of getting partnership is very little effected by the number of subscribers you have. Most of it is dependent on your video views. When I got partnership on my TutorialConr channel, I had around 200,000 to 250,000 video views.

To ensure you will be selected, there are some guidelines you must follow. You must create your content, not even 1% of the content on your YouTube channel must be a property of some other person or entity. After all, it is about 'Broadcast Yourself'. If you have any music videos, not made completely by you, or any videos that directly support piracy and/or other illegal activity, remove them off the air completely. In case you feel there might be an 'indirect misinterpretation' of your video, post an annotation saying that this video does not intend to support illegal crimes.

Your account should almost always be in good standing. If you do not get views, do not worry. Just keep posting regular and good quality content, and most of all socialize with other YouTubers, subscribe to them, go to their videos and comment and reply to many people.

Make yourself somewhat noticed. Be clean. These are the most important guidelines to YouTube partnership. If you follow YouTube's Community Guidelines, you'll have that nice little banner on your channel in no time.

To most people YouTube partnership is available only in other countries. Most people do not seem to realize that Partner Programme has arrived in India. I get questions everyday "How did you become a partner, its not available in India".

Step 1 : Go to http://youtube.com/partners . If this page does not load, or redirects you back to YouTube, then partnership is not available in your country. (PS : It is, in India)

Planning on a DSLR ! Nikon D3100

Hey guys,
I have been wanting to improve the quality of my unboxing videos for a while. So, I decided on buying a DSLR, not only for videos, but mainly for photos. [ Of course ].

So I have done my research for a couple of months and have arrived on a camera by Nikon called 'D3100'. It has HD video, Vibration Reduction, and thank god not a really very shitty kit lens. I honestly like Canon designs more, but you have to pay more, for the 550D or 600D, which I dont really want to do, because the D3100 has 2 more AF points than both of them, and that really counts. [ In my case].

So, see you later for a Review ! :D

I'm planning to buy it after my exams, that end on 15th of April.

New intro and outro

I am going to upload a new video soon which will feature new intros and outros. Actually, the intro is animated, and not the outro. Actually, the intro is 3 seconds long, LOL. And the outro is still image, "TutorialConr", written with a background of a radial gray glow in a black background.

They seem pretty good.
